The Most Common Driving Mistakes that Teenagers Make
If you’ve ever seen a teenager driving, then you should know that due to their inexperience (and flightiness), they often make a number of mistakes while driving. Many of the teenagers today are over-confident and believe that they have full control of their vehicles and their senses, and are not susceptible to meeting with accidents.

However, as a parent it is important for you to bring to their notice a number of mistakes that they make while driving. Here are the 3 most common mistakes that all teenagers make when driving. If your teen understands these and avoids these, he or she is already on their way to becoming better drivers:

60% of all the accidents that involve teens are alcohol-related. Most teens do not realize the extent to which alcohol can impair their driving abilities. So, make sure your child knows that it is very important to call someone to drive him or her home when they’ve been drinking.

Distracted driving is another big threat. Most teen drivers tend to talk on their cell phones or text while driving. Some talk to other passengers in the car, fidget with the radio, put on makeup and drink or eat. All of this can cause distractions that lead to accidents.

Most teens that drive don’t have the necessary experience to do so. Make sure your teen practices all the time.
